The majority of AORS members come from its 32 Local Associations (LAs), the close-to-home organizations that bring members together. Each LA is an independent association with its own constitution and by-laws, and each appoints one representative to the AORS Board of Directors.

AORS works closely with its Local Associations to ensure the needs of members are being met. In recent years AORS has held workshops on various topics and invited members of the Local Associations to participate. The results of these workshops and related surveys can be downloaded here:
