Elgin County to Host 2027 AORS Municipal Public Works Trade Show
The Association of Ontario Road Supervisors (AORS) has announced that Elgin County will host the 2027 AORS Municipal Public Works Trade Show, selecting the Joe Thornton Community Centre in St. Thomas as the venue for the prestigious event.
The bid to host the 2027 show was submitted by the Elgin County Municipal Supervisors Association, and AORS is pleased to bring the event to this vibrant and growing region of Southwestern Ontario.
“As the oldest Road Supervisors Association in the province, we’re incredibly excited for the opportunity to host the 2027 AORS Trade Show,” said Andrew Sleegers, AORS Representative for the Elgin County Municipal Supervisors Association. “This is a chance to welcome thousands of visitors into our community, highlight the important work of municipal public works professionals, and showcase the innovative equipment and services that keep our roads safe and our communities running.”
Elgin County Warden Grant Jones echoed the enthusiasm: “This is an exciting opportunity to put Elgin County on display and demonstrate our commitment to excellence in public works. We look forward to welcoming the AORS community to St. Thomas in 2027.”
The AORS Trade Show is Ontario’s premier event for public works professionals, showcasing the latest technologies, equipment, and services across more than 200 indoor and outdoor exhibits. It draws attendees from across the province, including municipal staff, contractors, suppliers, and industry leaders.
While the 2027 show is still two years away, public works professionals won’t have to wait long to experience the AORS Trade Show:
- 2025: The show will take place June 4–5 in Woodstock, hosted by the Oxford County Road Supervisors Association.
- 2026: It moves to Petawawa on June 3–4, hosted by the Renfrew County Road Supervisors Association.
The rotating format of the AORS Trade Show gives different municipalities the chance to shine while promoting innovation and excellence in municipal public works across Ontario.
