AORS TO HOST SIX ONE-DAY MUNICIPAL ASSET MANAGEMENT WORKSHOPS IN 2019

The Association of Ontario Roads Supervisors (AORS) is pleased to announce six one-day workshops to be offered in 2019 across the province to assist municipalities with developing or improving the effectiveness of their municipal asset management plans.  This initiative is being delivered through the Municipal Asset Management Program, which is delivered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and funded by the Government of Canada.

The workshops will be geared towards public works professionals but will include information of value to municipal finance departments and new members of council. The day will be designed to engage participants with speakers who are currently working in the municipal field, case studies, and table exercises to encourage the exchange of experiences and ideas.

The workshops will be held in strategic locations across the province to maximize availability to all. One spring and one fall session will be offered in each of the three sectors – east, west and north.

Dates for the spring sessions are as follows:

  • April 25th in Peterborough
  • May 16th in Walkerton
  • May 23rd in Barrie

Registration forms are available on the Upcoming Seminars page of the AORS website.  Sessions will be limited to 50 participants so register early.

The fall sessions will be held September-October in London, Town of Perth, and Sudbury.

Watch the AORS website and various publications for further details.
